Burly has long been a leader when it came to bars, and this year is no different.
Twenty-three years ago, two brothers, with motor oil in their blood and a lifetime commitment to custom, transformed simple bent tubing into chrome plated art and the Burly Brand was born.
The clean and efficient lowering blocks that were dreamt up during that same era are still the most economical way to drop a bike a few inches and are now joined by the combined front and rear lowering of our Slammer Kits.
Our hands-on design work has refined the classic Burly Bar and created a line of Narrow Apes and a Fly By Wire ready assortment for the modern baggers.
Matched cable/line kits make for easy and inexpensive installs as well.
Talented and humble are just a couple of words to describe our late friends, both Jim Hogg and Sid Stocker. We consider them artists. Others coin them as fabricators or designers.
When these guys set out to do build or design something different, they got it just right. These handlebar designs represent that sweet success.
We are now proud to share them with the world and share a piece of Sid and Jim with everyone.
The Sid is one of those handlebars characterized by a simple but innovative style. A simple window bar with a kicker; nothing more, nothing less.
They were made with 1-inch steel tubing featuring slots for internal wiring and crowned for throttle-by-wire applications. Welded and mandrel bent for a precision fit.
Available in 8” and 10” heights with Black Powder Coat or Chrome finishes.
The Jim is bent as a narrow clamp mount handlebar for splitting lanes and taking names. At 26” wide, this is by far the skinniest bar we offer.
They were made with 1-inch steel tubing featuring slots for internal wiring and crowned for throttle by wire applications. Welded and mandrel bent for a precision fit. Available in 9” and 11” heights with Black Powder Coat or Chrome finishes.
